Has anyone heard of Felt bikes? any comments? very light.
I am looking for a new bike.
I test rode the Amira and Ruby and loved them but they are about 19 lbs for a carbon frame (I weighed it at the store). I thought that was a bit heavy. I do a lot of climbing here in Westchester NY. I am going to look at the Scott and others next.
I am 5'2 1/2 and the Amira and Ruby fit was perfect. However I would have to go from $2200 to $5000 to take me to a lighter frame in that line. I should be able to get a light carbon bike that fits in the $1500-3500 Better components only shaved off maybe a half lb.
I appreciate any comments.
I am fairly new to road bikes. I rode hybrids and mountain. I can't keep up on the club rides with my hybrid which is 12 yrs old and is a beast.
(love the speed on the roads and climbs are fun!)
Enjoy reading the threads, nice to have a women's bike community.
Thanks

My husband has owned two Felts, one he rode for nine years. He just bought a new one a few months ago. I have been riding a women's specific Felt FW3 for three years and love it. I have never had a bike fit, and I do think that I would benefit from that, but all in all, the bike has caused me no pain, and I feel like it fits pretty well!!! I would buy another one in a heartbeat, but this one is in great shape, even with over 15,000 miles on it. Good luck. Be sure that you try it before you buy, if at all possible. My shop is very small and they had to order one for me, but I was pretty sure that I was going to buy it, after trying several other bikes.

Good luck!

I've never ridden a Felt, but I see a lot of them on the road here in South Florida, and many women seem to be riding them. Also see a lot of Scott, Ridley, and Orbea bikes ridden by women.
