For sale: Red 2004 Susan B 11" hybrid. I am the original owner. Asking $500. Current Susan B retails for $849 (http://www.terrybicycles.com/Bicycles/Hybrid/Susan-B) (without shock fork) and $949.

Bike was in storage from 2005-2011, and has been ridden less than 300 miles. All original components, including Terry Liberator Cite saddle. (Shown with different Terry saddle, original was never used on the bike and has been in storage.)

Has been stored exclusively indoors. There are a few dings from being on my bike rack with another bike, but she is in otherwise great shape. I'm selling for two reasons: the bike is not the perfect fit for me (too small) and because I want to do more road biking and longer rides.

Specs for 2003/2004 Terry Susan B (from manual):

Can provide more pics if desired. I'd prefer to meet within reasonable local distance of Pittsburgh at an LBS, but will also ship.

The Susan B was definitely available in an 11" size during the early 2000's. The next size up during those years was 14".

Yup, it's an 11". I'm close to 5'1". The bike is a bit small for me, even with seat and stem as high as possible. I've heard that the 11" was made for women that were 4'10-5'. It is a pretty small bike!

Breeze, your bike has the added benefit of a steel frame. The new Susan B's are aluminum. You may want to point out this difference in your CL ads to attract steel frame fans.

I like, it would fit!

Wonder how much it would cost to ship? Any idea?

Most bikes cost $75-100 to ship UPS or FedEx. I've shipped a couple I sold on ebay.

goldfinch, sorry it took me awhile to reply; I'm unexpectedly swamped this week.

I believe that the LBS charges $50 for boxing the bike (but I will check-- not positive); I'll need more location information from you to get the shipping quote.

However, I also had several interested emails yesterday morning from two locals about test riding and buying the bike. I'm going to say that for the moment, shipping the bike is on hold until I can arrange a test ride with them on Sunday or Monday.

Hope that's OK. I'm running on low sleep and about 14 hours of work, so I'm not entirely sure that I'm even writing recognizable sentences. Thanks for your interest-- she is a really great little bike.

Wow, I just saw this thread - do you still have this bike? I know it will fit me, as I had one (a 2003) and it was stolen last spring. I would LOVE to have another.
Thanks,
Linda

Hi Linda,

I'm sorry that I just saw your reply to my thread-- I haven't been around TE much lately.

Yes, my Terry Susan B is still for sale. Just had a fall tune-up, new chain, new flywheel. I've been riding the bike all summer, so the mileage has gone up from my original post, but everything else remains the same.

Do contact me if you're interested and we can talk about the bike. That goes for anyone else out there who may be interested, too.

Thanks!

Hi Breeze,
I replied by PM, I have in the meantime bought a different Susan B, I will get back to you on this bike. I KNOW I would love this one, as it is exactly like the one that was stolen from me, only red. Sorry we didn't connect earlier.

If you still have this bike for sale, I will likely buy it. My husband lives in Pittsburgh and will come lok at it and pick it up next week. Where in Pittsburgh are you located? I am 4'10" and can never get a bike to fit. There are new susan b's on e-bay for $250. Will you consider a modest price reduction to $420.

Hi Breeze,

Any chance your bike is still for sale? I'm 4'10.5 and short-legged on top of that, so I have a super short inseam. An 11" would be great. I had e-mailed Georgena Terry awhile back and she recommended either a more recent Susan B model that's 13" or an older-model Susan B that's 11". Please let me know if your bike is still available!

Best,
-marzipan

I haven't been here in awhile (obviously). Sorry about that! I've been out on my bike!!

I'm sending some PMs to those of you that have tried to contact me about my Susan B. She's still for sale, and hasn't made it out of storage this year, as I've been riding my other bike. I'm getting ready to move soonish, and now's the time to clear out. She will be a great bike for the right person!
