Saturday May 12, 9:00 am

Ride from the picnic tables along the Burke-Gilman at Metropolitan Market Sandpoint (where one can get coffee) http://metropolitan-market.com/locations/ Meeting at 9:00 am.

Slow ride. 10 mph or less. See how many joggers can pass us. No drop. Ride your old bike, your new bike, your cruiser bike. Wear whatever you want. Tweed, denim, spandex, silk. Flip-flops, sneakers, Keens, or Sidi Dominators. We don't care, and neither should you.

We may stop at the wee park between 15th Ave and Brooklyn for a breather and a re-group. Other stops at other wee parks available upon request. We like to stop!

Breakfast at Solsticio http://www.solsticiofremont.com/ That spot we all barrel through on our way toward Fremont. The "shoaling zone" where the Burke-Gilman crosses Stone Way. You've always wondered what took over the building when Speedy Reedy moved, now you can find out. Watch the bikes go by as you eat your breakfast. And keep an eye on your bike locked to the chain link fence on the other side of the B-G.

Rain or shine. It's happening.

By the way: you are legally responsible for yourself in every way, shape, and form. This is not a guided tour, we are not responsible for you.

Wish I could join you, sounds fun! We will be leaving for California the day before. :(

We had lunch at the Solsticio last Saturday, the food was fabulous! The BG was incredibly busy that day, and was fun to look out at all the craziness. :)

The ride to the meet point was great. I saw these ducks along the path apparently on the way to the same ride ...

I met Bodhi, we had coffee to get me going. We helped a new cyclist who was having trouble with toe clips. He wanted to remove them. After finding they were all one piece with no way to remove the straps other than cutting them off we referred him to the nearby LBS and got on the Burke Gilman with the rest of Seattle :)

... then on to breakfast. Here are our bikes. I was glad to see poppies, just like home.
