I felt a massive wave of nausea watching this (http://www.cyclelicio.us/2012/hit-run-berkeley-bicycle/).
That looks very intentional to me. I hope that "driver" is brought to justice.

This has been all over Facebook-- I ride in the Bay area and the cycling community here is horrified. It's obvious to me that it was intentional.

I posted it on FB. One of my friends had the reaction "how do we know the driver didn't simply look down for a second?" My reaction...it doesn't matter. He/she didn't stop. That was no accident. If a person hits something with their vehicle because they were distracted...that's not an accident. An accident is something that happens when someone has done everything in their power to avoid issues.
It sounds like the PD have a pretty good idea of the plate #. If the driver is not apprehended, then all hell should break loose. It's not even a matter of the cyclists' word against the driver's. That video is incriminating as hell.
It bothers me that not a single car seems to stop after they get hit.

What a bizarre outcome. I wonder how serious the punishment will be...in addition to the hit-and-run that guy has quite a rap sheet.
