Ok. I'm not sure where exactly to put this so I'll plonk it here. My family is headed to Boston in June and I saw the Escape the Cape tri going on right there on the very weekend we'll be there. So of course, I had to sign up for it. I'm not familiar at all with Boston so if anyone has any suggestions on bike shops that will rent me a roadie or hybrid in XS for the weekend to bring with me to the tri and a wetsuit when I get there or tips on how to get from Boston to the race site (I'm currently considering driving or getting a cab, have no idea how else to do it), it'll be awesome. My plan is to arrive on the 31st of May in Boston, collect my bike, wetsuit and all, head on over to Onset bay by the 2nd of June. If you're going to race the women's race on the 3rd, it'd be awesome to meet up there too!! :D:D:D *dances in excitement*

Ah, that's a bit far for a cab . Driving is really the only option. Onset is not near any public trans. If this race is on a Saturday or Sunday AM, realize that you will hit significant traffic if you are driving south, toward this area on weekend mornings. Either leave very early, or better yet, arrive the day before. It's about 75 miles +/- from Boston to Onset.
Belmont Wheelworks rents bikes; not sure about others. Try Cycle Loft (Burlington).
Where in Boston are you staying? That might give a better idea of what shops to call. Not very many shops rent road bikes. I *might* be able to help you with a shop near me, but you would have to come out to Concord to get the bike.
PM me.

Ahh, I shall have to convince my dad to drop me off on Saturday and get a room nearby. We will be staying somewhere near the Harvard campus, that's as much information as I could gather from my parents. I've been advised by the race organizers to check out Quad bikes but haven't gotten a reply from them yet. Would be terrific if you know of any other bike shops. :D
