Is anyone thinking of doing the Zoo De Mack this year? I'd like to stay in Mackinaw and do the ride. I've done it once before...almost. My allergies were way out of wack for 2 weeks before and I tried the ride anyway. I crapped out about 15 miles in. Now I sorta feel like I NEED to do it! It would be nice to share gas up there, maybe a room (I snore, allergies, remember?) and a buddy to ride with. It's pretty hilly but a good time.

I so badly want to do it. I'm afraid, even though I've kept up cycling during the winter, I couldn't make it the whole way. I just didn't prepare for it this year.

We'd love to do it someday, but we'd have to find someone to watch the rugrat for the weekend.

DH and I did it last year. Took us 4 hours. It was perfect weather. The Tunnel of Trees is Amazingly beautiful. We hope to do it again this year too.

This is on my one-of-these-years list too. I have friends that go every year. I hear it is a great event.

I've biked the tunnel of trees from the North to the South. Ive heard that's the easier direction as far as hills. It was amazing. When is that event?

Oh, It is Catrin. I have never seen so many white Trilliums blooming all at once ever!!! I am definitely taking a small camera with me this time.

The last time I went, the lunch at Legs Inn was sandwiches in condensation filled bags. It was horrible. I would HIGHLY recommend actually eating IN the restaurant. The food is traditional polish fair and so good, you will weep! My allergies are off the hook this week. I even took a couple days off work. I am concerned that I will have a hard time again on this ride, but I am oh so tempted to go. I lost my riding buddy to horses! LOL We actually showed horses together since we were teens and she is getting back into it in a BIG way, so no time for bike rides now :(.
