Question on Brooks and Selle saddles

After the last couple of rides on the trainer and being very sore on my
sit bones, I measured and came up with 155mm center to center.
My sella an atomica saddle, which has been great the past couple of years
is only 160mm and I am sitting on the edge right over the metal plate.
My question is will the Selle SMP TRK at 177mm work? I would prefer
leather so would the Brooks Team Pro 170mm or B17 177mm work without
putting my over any metal bits? I've been researching all day and more
confused then ever. I weigh 120 if that makes any difference.

It is possible that the Sella needs adjusting. You might contact them. There are some different Brooks that might work for you.
The fact that the Sella An Atomica DID work and no longer works makes me think you just need an adjustment.

I've tried various adjustments. I have it set so I am not sliding forward that took a few rides to get just right. I am happy with how it is set just in pain from sitting on the very, very edge. I think
I thought it was better than it was coming from a Terry Butterfly seat that just
made everything numb from being smooshed.
How much wider should I go on a Brooks so that I am sitting on just leather and not any hardware? I ride a road bike with the handlebars just below seat level.

I'm a 155 as well, and felt with the Team Pro and B17 that I was sitting on the metal. I've been happy with the B68 and the similar size Imperial. Really happy.

Thank you for the info. I noticed on the Wallbike site that they say the
B68 is for upright riding. Does anyone have experience riding one in the road
bike position? I have a Lemond Zurich so I need long rails.

PS I have a B68 imperial on two of my bikes. And I LOVE IT.

The B68, while the only saddle I found that is wide enough for me, wasn't really designed as a road bike saddle. That said, it is on all my road bikes.

As such, I found that the cutout was necessary since the top surface of the B68 has a slight dome shape. Prior to the B68 Imperial, I sent my B68's to Selle Anatomica's factory to have the slot cut into them. With the slot, I can ride the B68 on a road bike with handle bars lower than the saddle.

Also realize that the B68, unlike the B17 has a very abrupt transition from the top of the saddle to the sides. The first few rides on a saddle may chafe the back of your leg. But, the wonderful thing about leather is that this is temporary and after a few rides that transition smooths out and you'll have a comfy saddle where you aren't sitting on the metal plates.

It may not be designed as such, but the B68 works fine on a road bike, drops and all.

I rode this saddle at NAHBS and really liked it. The leather is "tied" underneath which will reduce the splay issues of a Selle and they are 170 cm wide. I thought that might be too wide for me until I sat on it and am pretty sure it will be just perfect. We are going to start carrying them in our shop, hopefully shipping on Monday. I saw a Rivet a few weeks ago and while I hoped for a 210mm wide saddle, I realized that a B-17-sized saddle (170mm) would most likely be their widest. It is a popular size and it is the width of the Selle Anatomica. Unfortunately, those of us riding (and requiring) a B68 width on a road bike are not a huge segment of the population. One can hope that Rivet may some day expand their line.

But, I really liked the concept of the Rivet. Wrapping the leather around the frame gives a solid support. The person who was riding the Rivet said that it was as comfortable as the Selle Anatomica, but he wasn't needing to adjust the tension bolt as often as he would have with a Selle Anatomica. So it should last longer. And, well, it is prettier.
