Introducing Baby Grogotte!

Hello ladies!

I have been mostly off the forums for the past few months as my pregnancy limited first my bike commuting (too tired!) and then my weekend club rides (too uncomfortable), and of course since the baby was born I have not been able to get to the keyboard very often.

So finally, here she is!

Our little girl (aka Baby Grogotte) was born on December 28th, 2011, after a quick labour, at a comfortable (for mommy) 5 lbs and 15 oz. She is now two months and going towards 11 lbs, and thus much less comfortable for mommy to hold with one hand. (My left bicep is getting big.) We are greatly enjoying each other's company.

I have started running again but cycling is many long months away.

Anything under 6 pounds (3 kg) gets my vote - 2 of my 3 were tinies and I just love how quickly they progress - more weight to gain and less mass to figure out how to coordinate!

Yes, I also had a 5.9 pounder and a 6.7 pounder (who was 4 weeks early). There's something about smaller babies that make them look really beautiful. When I looked at Grogette's picture, I thought, hey, she looks my kids!

Indy, that's sweet, thank you!

I am pretty amazed that she is generally sleeping very well and long, especially considering that she is exclusively breastfed. She will sleep six hours in a row, then three hours to complete the night. The only issue is that she is a party girl and won't really go to bed before 9:30 at night. She also isn't keen on naps, but we'll get there, she's only 12 weeks!

So overall I'm getting enough sleep and so I'm feeling great! I count my blessings every day.
