DH bought me the Cyclo Ops Super Magneto Pro trainer kit for Christmas. All was going well until last week. It started making a horrible clicking noise just as it came to a complete stop. Now, today it is making it constantly. It even sounds like ther are loose ball bearings rolling around during use. It is loud!!!!

I am pretty ticked since I have only had it less than 2 months. It totally is ruining my workouts too. Anyway, I just contacted Cycle Ops and the place DH bought it at ( sent emails-will call Mon ). I hope they replace it. I do not feel like waiting around to get it fixed.

Anyone else ever have this issue and can shed some light on what the problem
is?

I heard Cycle Ops has great Cust. Service but if I have to go trainerless while they fix it, I will not be happy. Who knows how long that will be.

Generally as you said, the customer service is wonderful! Explain your situation, adn maybe your LBS has a trainer that they can loan you if you should need to send it back. We certainly have done that in the past... and I'm sure others do as well.

Keep us posted!

I hate to hear that. What a bummer. I've never experienced the problem you are having but CycleOps has been wonderful to deal with when we've had to replace or repair anything.

They were awesome to deal with. I had to take it apart but he explained how to remove the resistance unit and they paid shipping to send it back. I got a replacement part the other day. I will set it back up this weekend.

I was missing a nut for the replacement part too, and they are sending that as well.

I had a similar issue with the regular mag trainer (mine seemed to have a bad bearing from day 1). I sent my bad resistance unit in and they overnighted me a new one the same day they received the defective one. I think I was only without a trainer for maybe 3-4 days.
