I just wiped my husband's drool off the computer. He wants a Moots MTB in the worst way.
Have fun with her/him/it, Wahine!

It amazes me the beauty they build into their frames. They're downright sexy!

It is very elegant. The welds are amazing. DBF and I are just discussing if I should take off some of the decals. I'm thinking of leaving just the down tube Moots and the smaller decal on the chainstays that says "Handbuilt in the Rockies". Everything else might go. I think that a frame this lovely deserves an uncluttered, clean look.

Ahhh what a gorgeous bike! I have to admit that I'm a lover of "ti":D
When you mentioned taking some of the stickers off; it reminded me of when I first started working in the bike industry. Everyone at that time was taking off their decals; and although some of the those bikse were gorgeous before... they were truly outstanding after!!:D
Have fun with your new bike...

Oh wow I can't wait to see the final build! I have always lusted for a Moots. One day...
I used the Blunt SL 29er rims for my commuter- the wideness of the rim really widens the tires footprint and makes the sidewalls feel more stable, without the weight penalty of a wider, thicker tire. They make my 35mm commuter tires look like 40s. My next MTB wheelset (if I ever need another) will be built with those, good choice.
I bet you are counting the hours till you can get some time on the trail with that beautiful bike!

Ack. I'm still waiting for parts so the bike is not built yet. I have everything now except the spokes, hubs, rotors, seatpost, stem and handlebar. I'm really happy with how the parts I've gotten look so far. I LOVE the look of the cassette (http://www.sram.com/sram/mountain/products/sram-xg-1099-cassette#/path/term-id/44) and crank (http://bike.shimano.com/publish/content/global_cycle/en/us/index/products/mountain/new_xtr/component_systems/race.html#drivetrain). And the fork is super slick.
So far I have installed the headset, front and rear derailleurs, BB, crank and pedals. Today I think we're going to mock up the front end with the fork that will go on the bike and a stem and handlebar that I will borrow from the shop to do the mock up so I can figure out where my shifters etc are going to be and cut brake lines and maybe acbles accordingly.
Fun Fun Fun.
