Just need to rant - almost got T-boned tonight by a kid on a bike dressed in all black, riding down the wrong side of the road, no lights, no helmet, no reflectors, and his hood pulled over his head. Scared the bejesus out of me. If I hadn't been a block from home I would've had to pull over to stop shaking. I think I'm more aggravated because he didn't seem nearly as scared as I was. Most of the kids in my neighborhood are brought up with no respect for cars/the road, I see 2-year-olds out on tricycles in the road with no parents in sight. Grr.

I see this all the time in the cities where I have clients...
But, it doesn't top the family of 5 I saw on Saturday, pulling into the Visitor's Center lot in Concord Center. Both parents and all 3 kids (maybe ages 9-12?) not wearing helmets. It's fairly routine to see this where the kids are wearing helmets and the parents aren't, but, this was too much for me. As I rode by, I pointed to my head and said "helmet?" to the dad and mom. I am sure it made no difference, but I felt better!
