Shorts for skinny legs?

I need to get some smaller cycling shorts. My big problem is that I have skinny legs. Most of the shorts I currently am wearing are actually loose where the elastic should be gripping the leg. So, my shorts ride up.

Any recommendation for shorts that tend to be a bit narrower on the leg as compared to waist and hips?

I have no suggestions for you. But I'm just getting a good laugh in that you're the only one of us not seeking not seeking clothes for "athletic" legs. :)

Yeah I will never have skinny legs.

Maybe something with compression fabric, like the LG Neo Power? Try calling the helpful folks at TE and asking them for suggestions.

wow- opposite problem- due to hiatal hernia I am seeking shorts that are loose in the gut but accommodate my "athletic" thighs...............

Actually I might have a suggestion. Have you tried any Cannondale XS size shorts? They seem super tiny. At least comparatively. I tried to try the Cannondales on when I saw them on sale. They about fit my calf. But I don't know how the leg-waist ratio is on them.

I'd say if Nike made bike shorts you'd be set - I love their running tights, except that the legs are always super tiny and the waist is usually large, so they pull themselves down.

Funny. The best fitting bike shorts I have are a pair of Nike shorts someone here gave to me. They do have the narrowest legs. But, they are getting too big for me. I searched the web and couldn't find replacements so maybe Nike used to make bike shorts but doesn't anymore.

Nike got out of the cycling clothing business a few years ago.

As NY suggested, I called TE and they suggested LG Neo Power shorts first, the short version. They also suggested getting shorter shorts as part of my skinny leg problem is how long the shorts are on such a short person. So, I also ordered the Neo Power, and a couple of other short shorts, one by Pearl and the other by Shebeest.

I went to a local bike shop and tried what they had in small. I really liked the Shebeest short short, but they only had it in extra small (just a bit too tight) and medium (too large). So, I ordered that one from TE. I also tried Cannondale but they just weren't right. I did buy a cheap pair of Pearl Izumi shorts from the LBS but they were only so so, still a bit loose in the leg elastic, but otherwise felt good. Probably should have waited until my order comes from TE but I was suffering guilt from trying on too many shorts.

I got my TE order (boy they are fast!). The real issue wasn't skinny legs, it was short legs. The Neo Power in the short version fit perfect. The Shebeest short short fit perfect. The PI short short fit perfect too.

I think the Shebeest is my favorite but I am keeping them all.

I'm happy.

Yay for finding good shorts, and yay for awesome customer service!!

I'm hoping Shebeest will be back to manufacturing soon. Their shelastic chamois is the only one I love....and I can't get it right now:(
