I live in a motorhome in the winter. I have two bikes. I store my Madone in the car. My hybrid, a Cannondale Quick, is stored outside. I need a saddle for the Cannondale. It is currently wearing the stock saddle that came on my Madone. The seat is not very comfortable and needs to be switched out, but it was better than the stock Cannondale. My Madone has a Terry Butterfly saddle. I like it well enough but it isn't true love.

I need something for the Quick, probably shaped closer to the Terry Butterfly. I really thought about a Brooks sprung seat but I think I have to reject that because my bike is exposed to too much weather. Even covering my bike or seat when it is outside it gets moisture on it from condensation. And during the day I tend to leave it uncovered. This is my "working" bike. I haul birding equipment and the bike is out much of the day, ridden or parked in the state park where I bird.

Any ideas for something that is durable for weather? I am thinking that I probably have to stay away from leather, but I am not really sure.

remember all those cowboys on the range :) they all had leather saddles in all types of weather. I wouldn't shy away from the brooks, you can get the cover and treat it with proof hide. The B67 is a nice one for riding in a more upright position, fairly narrow in the nose with a bit wider back end but typically works as your sit bones are in a different position than when using a drop bar and more aggressive riding position you have on the Madone

in fact, I have a Brooks you can have if you'd like to try it out. It's old and it has butt imprints (not made by me). The old guy I bought it from 2 years ago at the bike thrift sale my cycling club does admitted he often got it wet. It's in pretty good shape. Broken in and all. ;) I got it from him for $10. If you'll pay postage I'll send it your way (going to put a different saddle on my commuter). I have no idea what it even is (B17? 67?). It is double rail with no springs. The guy said it was at least 20 years old when I bought it off him. It's the black one below. I'll send the seat post along with it since there's no way I'm taking it off.

You CANNOT have my B18 (the brown one), however. I love it way too much!!!
