The bike shop delivered this morning, and put on the new Charge saddle for me. I can't believe how fast, easy and light this bike is compared to my comfort and mountain bikes. It was a beautiful if very cold morning so I went straight out riding - a mile or so around the neighbourhood and then a six mile ride around the country lanes. And then another quick spin around the block to test out the new shopping pannier, albeit empty.

Gorgeous. Gears are lovely, the geometry is perfect for me, the only thing that reminds me that I've been riding is the endorphins and a slight new-saddle tenderness to my nethers. Thank you for all the help on here, she's definitely the right bike for me.

How sweet! And with the basket it makes me feel like taking a ride to the local farmers market for some produce.:)

Thanks everyone! I showed her to the Mister tonight, and he was staggered by how light she was. I have to say that the future is looking short for my Marin, it's so heavy by comparison. The basket is a Basil bottle pannier, it just hooks on to the rear rack.

Thank you! I am trying to find a flat bungee cord in either turquoise, bright blue or bright orange for the rear rack, but have been unsuccessfull so far. I'm going to look for some blue or orange wraparound lights too.

You were so right.

It's going to take a while to get used to the extra speed. I keep getting to junctions far quicker than I expect, and in too high a gear :)

Ditto here. I do that very same thing.. then go to take off in too high a gear due to my own sillyness.

Here's to many sunny miles ahead of you :)
