We have decided to bring a pup into our family and I couldn't be more excited. I'm dying to share with someone, b/c I'm keeping it a secret from my kids. If all goes well, a little boy from this litter will be coming home with us in January:

Thanks for looking!

Thanks! This will be my second golden retriever, but loooooong time since I've had a dog at all, and I miss having a dog so much. My kids are going to go absolutely insane.

Congratulations! While I'm biased (DH & I share our house/hearts with three goldens), nothing is sweeter than a golden retriever puppy!

I can't wait to see more pictures!

Squirmy!

What's with the guy/gal lying all by itself? It does look rather well-fed though. ;)

Do you have a particular one chosen? Or have you just decided on a male?

I know, they look like little sausages! That one by himself.... he is cute. I saw him nursing in some of the other photos. He has a red mark on his head but I don't know why. Some of these will be show dogs... not ours, he will be just a companion.

I am not sure if there is one in particular we are getting just yet. They were just born a week ago and we just put our deposit down a couple days ago. I think the breeder will look for compatabilities in a few weeks and help us choose. We can't see them in person until after their first shots in late December. I want to see them SO BAD!!!!

Suggestion: look for the sleepy one. He'll be much less of a spaz.:D

OMG - it brings back such memories!! When I was a kid, my mom bred Golden Retrievers. I see them now and immediately think "Do Doos!" (which is what we called them).

Your kids are going to LOVE a golden puppy!

It will be so hard to keep the secret, especially once I've seen the pups and have one specific who will come home. I've got to be strong! I want to see them totally freak out when they see a puppy in this house, especially one as CUTE as those goldens. They are like walking teddy bears.

Good idea, Irulan!

Beautiful! I love them!

Look forward to seeing some snaps when your pup comes home. We have a Golden and a Flat Coat and they make us smile with their antics.:)

Yeah, that doesn't always work:eek: Our chocolate lab is 8 1/2 yrs old and still a total spaz, but what a love. We were barely able to wake her up when we visited the litter. The breeder said she was the calmest by far. Turns out we didn't buy from a quality breeder and once you visit, your toast! But we will keep her for sure.

And momma sure looks proud of her handy work. You're kids are gonna go crazy.

Mom is saying..."whewww I am glad THAT is over, but aren't they adorable?"

Seriously, have fun with the new puppy, and that would be one hard secret to keep!
