I am very fortunate too. I have had a long, wonderful relationship with an incredible person. He inspires MANY with his courage, his love, his wisdom. Many people have not had this good fortune.
I have two absolutely wonderful sons. They, too, are loving and wise.
I have great health.
I have a house that is warm and dry with 3 wonderful kitties in it.
I got to pet a tiger and have enjoyed relationships with cousins all over the world.

My beloved wife, she makes my life complete.

Our wonderful cozy warm home, it is our refuge.

Our good health.

I forgot a really important one...

Our financial security!

It's one of the buttons you can choose. On my computer it shows up underneath the word sizes.

I hope I don't bring down the wrath of the gods for trying to be helpful and instructive.

why would a teacher bring down the wrath of god for being a teacher?

So much to be thankful for:

Family and generally good health
Friends
A warm home, food to eat, . . . simple luxuries
That Neil Diamond is going on tour this summer
A job--and one that I even kind of enjoy
Is it bad to say that . . . I am thankful my kids are a bit older and are getting to be a lot of fun to spend time with. I'm really looking forward to all the cool things we are planning to do together next year :)
And for mountain biking--my therapy, church, friend, challenge, respite--where I feel most like myself

Seriously - so very much to be thankful for...

For having met the love of my life early enough to have a long life together.
For my loving and only slightly off-kilter family
For a collection of happy and healthy animals that provide us with so much
For my new job at my wonderful company - I'm a MUCH happier person now.
For living in a land of plenty
For being in a financial situation that allows us to enjoy this plenty
For my health, my strength and my intelligence.

I'll stop there. ;)

My husband of 32 years, who is kind, funny, and fit. I couldn't have a better spouse
My 2 wonderful sons and their wives. I can't believe that they turned out to be such normal adults :)
The opportunity I had to go back to school so I could change careers at this stage of my life
Having a career that makes a difference in people's lives
A flexible schedule, after 30 years of having to schedule my bathroom breaks!
Financial security and pretty good health at age 58
The fact that my son started cycling in 1999 and eventually hooked my whole family

I am thankful to be almost fully healed from my broken foot and able to ride again :D Two rides this week on the road and one on the greenway, and they felt great!

I'm glad I'm not in any pain post op. I'm thankful for my dbf, my friends, and my brothers, who have all shown me so much love and compassion. And of course, my kitties. They couldn't be any better.

Many things:

My cyclist husband, ever supportive of my crazy rides - and even joining me!
In spite of a rough teenager week, my smart, capable and generally fun to be with teenage DD.
Having the courage a few years ago to make a career move that has proven excellent on many levels (though still challenging enough to keep me on my toes).
My new bike should be ready Friday.

My loving husband who makes me laugh my head off every day.

My boss for being so generous, patient and forgiving of all my quirks.

All the cats who blessed me with their presence this year. Their trust in me was humbling. I love them to pieces.

My yoga studio and my fellow yogis for being my happy place.

My travels for bringing me wonder and awe.

All my friends, real and virtual. They (you) inspire me daily by their courage, intelligence and spirit. I would be lost without them/you.
