I want to get some family gift for my sister and her family. Only problem is My niece Lorelei has a restricted diet. I can't afford a whole lot this year but want to get them something they can share as a family. Any idea's out there. Lorelei is 6 and her sister is 13 years old. I sent them some english muffins last year. Made sure there were fat free low sugar types so Lorelei could have them too.

Is there some board game you could get them that they could all play? Just a thought. We are big on the home made cookies and ornaments here, but there isn't much time left for that.

Board games are a good idea. Or maybe a family crafting project? You could gather the supplies and print out the directions with a holiday border around it. Miniature sand sculpture ornament or stocking holder to resemble one of your sand creations? You could use your sculpting talent to mold modeling clay or even salt dough (look for recipes online and directions for baking/hardening the dough), poke a hole for a ribbon if it's to be an ornament while still pliable, cure it, spread Mod Podge or plain white glue over the entire ornament, and dip it in sand. Heck if you do that, then you could enclose the leftover supplies for the kids.
