It's sad that they need them but a wonderful idea. Check out the adorable penguin sweaters:

The penguin sweater instructions look pretty easy:

You could knit a tiny tuxedo pattern ;)

I almost could learn to knit for this.

A friend of mine got in touch with the yarn store last week and they said they have enough for now.

Sometimes a penguin gets tired of the same old frock, wants something a little more formal for a night out with a special penguin someone or comfy, cosy and casual for a night in.

True enough. Gotta be tough, living in formalwear all the time.

I'm glad about this, as I suspected that by the time I'd finished doing gloves for my daughter and for me, they wouldn't need the little penguin cardis any more. I'm not a fast knitter, and would panic at the idea of knitting for someone who wasn't readily available to be measured.

Oh my stars, I thought you were kidding. Here's to happy knitting!

You would not have to go to New Zealand to fit the penguins. There may be local penguins near you who would volunteer to model sweaters. ;)

Isn't there a guy down the street who keeps them in his fridge?
