Well, after quite a bit of test-riding at my LBS, I absolutely fell in love with the Ruby. From first sit, she just "fit". Here she is during one of our rail trail rides last week.

I've got about 75 miles on her so far, and I'm in absolute love. Every time I go out to ride is such a joy. I think my husband is tired of hearing how much I love my bike. :p I feel connected to this bike in ways that I never felt on my MTB. I feel like a stronger and more capable rider every time I get on this bike. It may all be in my head, but that's OK...whatever works. :D

Wow, she's a real beauty! Love the color combo. And it's a beautiful thing to witness someone who loves her bike so much. :p

I bet that's not just in your head about getting stronger and better. When you have a beautiful new bike you love it's easy to keep riding and keep getting better!

Thanks, all! :)

I'm not normally much of a pink person, but I thought this color combo was fun...and biking should be fun.

Cograts! I've been looking at road bikes for the past few weeks, and after riding the Specialized Ruby yesterday I pretty much know how you feel. I fell in love with it too, and it WILL be my next bike. Enjoy!

It's in Adams, Mass, which is about 2 hours west of where I live . That's the famous Berkshire area of Massachusetts. It's really lovely out there.

Congratulations! I felt exactly the same way when I test-rode my (2009)Dolce Elite. I tried numerous makes and models, but it was the Dolce that put a big grin on my face every time. :D

Specialized knows how to make beautiful bikes that are a blast to ride.

Absolutely gorgeous!
I feel the same way about my Ruby, and we have ridden about 2800 miles together now!

Congrats on the new bike and I understand the bonding experience too :D

My husband has told me that you cannot love inanimate (sp?) objects, but I disagree. We have to trust our bikes...we rely on them - from that we build a bond (similar to love?).

I admit that I love my road bike (Bianchi Velochi) and I'm becoming very fond of my new Surley LHT.

Enjoy Ruby....I hope you build lots of happy memories together!
