Hi,

I consider myself a newbie on training wheels as a member of the "Women's Cycling Discussion Forums" group. Is there a way I can post to threads and groups or (forums) posted by people in my area? I live in southeastern Massachusetts and am looking for women riders to ride with in my area.

Thanks for your help!

Laura

There is a regional section on this forum for the Notheast. You can also try meetup.com

A couple pf people recommended meetuo.com to me and I've joined 2-3 groups. It's a great way to meet people who share similar interests.
Welcome - I am a newbie too and am learning a lot from this wonderful community of riders.

But I've found if you just jump into the conversation, we get to know you, you get to know us you'll find plenty of motivation and info to go riding.

Thank you, advice taken! I look forward to meeting others who like to bike! Hopefully I've learned my lesson form this last cycling accident and won't have anymore anytime soon!

THanks again Trek420, this will help me get started. I used to be a 'runner' (ran 2 marathons), now have two bad knees and a bad back so cycling seems to be an endurance sport that I've always enjoyed 2nd to running ... I'm an endurance junkie so I look forward to meeting many others like me and enjoying the sport and camaraderie.
