I feel pretty awesome today as I pulled a very small paceline today for the first time ever. We were going about 19/20 on average into a pretty fierce headwind and I was able to lead and switch every mile. One of the best rides I've had in a long time - I forgot how nice it is to ride with others!

One of my fellow riders said he thinks he might be able to get me onto one of the local race teams in town too so I've been thinking about talking with him more about this possibility. I'd love to actually DO something with my riding other than just for the zen of it, but it is a little intimidating (it's also one of the most formidable, serious teams in town).

Anyone else have an awesome, empowering day? :D

I have yet to find a group to ride with, much less a paceline to pull although I often pull DH. However I did manage to jog/ walk/ stagger 1.75 miles in 30 minutes today. Not major for anyone but me but significant to me and pretty empowering.

Awesome! It's such a nice feeling to pull the front. Even better when you drift back and the guys say, "nice pull!"
