Yesterday was a crappy day at work! And I had to work late so I couldn't get out for a ride.

So to remind myself to just let it go - which I pretty much suck at :p I'm wearing purple cashemere socks with my red shoes. Okay I know it's weird. But I gotta to do something. It reminds me of my AV jersey and makes me smile.

And I immediately thought of the Red Hat society (http://www.redhatsociety.com/). Hats... shoes, so I get accessories confused. But then, you're too young for this society.

Huh, I wore a purple turtleneck and red clogs to work last week. Needed the boost. Great minds, etc., etc., etc. :D

Just checked out the Red Hat Soc. Looks like a laugh - I bet a big group of red hatted ladies must cause a bit of stir.

While we're talking socks I wore my knee length multi-striped socks to work yesterday. Admittedly it was under boots, under trousers so no one got to see them till I got home. I then spend the evening in my summer three quarter length capri trousers so my husband got the full benefit of the stripes. Not sure it was the worlds most sexy look, but kept me nice and warm snuggly. :p

Well, now it's a huge Hallmark (I'm pretty sure) marketing scheme. They've got a whole array of products... red hat = cash cow :-) One of those little American ironies - packaged nonconformity. Everybody join!

I like their sentiment, though.
