Silly Cyclists is a website ran by a cyclist in London who records his rides, much like I do. His main YouTube channel is probably the most popular cycling channel I've seen so far, with 1,839 subscribers to date. He has another YouTube channel called sillycyclists (http://www.youtube.com/user/sillycyclists) and a "Silly Cyclists (http://www.sillycyclists.co.uk/)" webpage, where people can submit videos of cyclists making dangerous mistakes on the road, and he will make a video of the top 10 silly cyclists for each episode. His sites are designed to promote cycling safety, not to make fun of people like so many YouTube trollers do.

I submitted several videos. He picked my video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onuV_l8M0vk) of a salmon (wrong way) cyclist coming right at me on a busy road. Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtkX-h752aA) his video.

The video thumbnail on the current episode on the Silly Cyclists webpage (http://www.sillycyclists.co.uk/2011/09/episode-33/) even features my video. What a coincidence!

If anyone is looking for all the things not to do on a bike, go to Silly Cyclists! :D

Awesome! Your videos are going viral! :)

That salmon thing just happened to me on Saturday. Freaked me the heck out. I had passed the guy a bit earlier, riding on the right of the lane (4 lane road), going the same way I was. I then had to stop in a store, and was then heading back the way I came. I was in Ohio visiting some friends, so not familiar with where I was going, so was doing a lot of looking around to make sure I was heading the right way. When I saw this guy, at first I thought he was just doing a dumb move to cross the street and get to his destination, but he just kept driving in my lane, right at me. I was able to move to the other lane, and then I watched in my mirror to see him continuing to ride down the middle of the lane, until I lost sight of him. Crazy. A first for me, for sure. Now I even learned the term for it, so thank you!

Thank you. :) I have a long way to go, but I noticed a jump in subscribers after my video was featured in his video.

I have recorded other salmons, but deleted the footage because I figured I would end up boring people to death with the excessive amount of salmon cycling I encounter. I ride in an urban area, so it's very common.

Heck, I think I even need to cool off on the climb videos. I have a funny feeling people are getting sick of those too. I do try to find other things to record, but you know what they say about not finding things when you're looking for them.

The really interesting stuff happens when I least expect it.

Great video. So cool you made it on "Silly Cyclists". The one with all the cyclists packed in front of the big truck was scary as he was going left.
