I found the best local Italian restaurant! It's called Sorci's Italian Cafe and Enoteca; it's located in Sumner, WA just five miles down the hill from where I live in Bonney Lake. If you go to their web site you'll find their lunch and dinner menus plus information about the owners. They're brothers who moved here from NYC, both Italian with duel citizenship. My favorite dish is their lasagna! OMG it's so good. They even offer cooking classes! They definitely have the best tiramisu. Joe and I love going their. Nice wine selection and they even make their own sangria.
Here is their web site:

So if you are ever in the Sumner area make sure you stop in and have a bite to eat!
So this is my favorite local restaurant what's yours? :)

I'll add my current two favs:
Rainier BBQ & Restaurant
Categories: Restaurants Barbeque Restaurants Vietnamese Restaurants Chinese Barbeque, Vietnamese, Chinese [Edit]
6400 Martin Luther King Jr Way S
(between Eddy St & S 38th Ave)
Seattle, WA 98118
It's a "down home" Vietnamese restaurant. The name "barbeque" is kind of a misnomer. Not only do they have great Pho, amazing chicken (or duck) Salad, great veggies, low prices and friendly service; if you like exotic meats, they have that too. Ask for the "other" menu.
Tamarind Tree
1036 S Jackson St
Seattle, WA 98127
(206) 860-1404
the other place we love to go to is Tamarind Tree, at 12th and Jackson (also in Seattle) they are kind of an Asian/Vietnamese/Fusion/new age restaurant. They are famous for their drinks (I don't drink so I don't know) and their food is really really good.

Mimi if you love Pho there is a great place in Kent that Joe and I always visit whenever we have the craving for Pho! I swear they serve the best Pho in the valley. In fact when I pick Joe up from the airport tomorrow afternoon I think we'll have to stop and eat there on our way home.
The name of the place is "Just Pho You" It's on W. Valley Hwy. I get off the 212th Street exit from hwy 167 and then turn onto W. Valley. If you are driving from Kent towards Tukwila it's on your right just past the "pink" Boeing building. The address is:
20038 68th Ave S
Kent, WA 98032
Your places sound yummy too. Especially the Tamarind Tree.

Thanks Sue, I'm also noting the place you mentioned in Sumner, for when we're in that area.

Sigh,
wish hubby wasn't so fond of pub grub. I can only report on pubs with servers who will lean across your lap to flirt with your husband...

The Purple Cafe...they have THE best crab cakes ever. Everything they serve is wonderful...the tomato basil soup is to die for...the BLTA sandwiches are a dream. They have locations in Kirkland and Woodinville, and maybe one more somewhere else I am not sure of.
Up in the Everett area Emory's Lakeside, right on Silver Lake is also good, and the view and ambience there are nice for special occasions. They have a great Sunday brunch too.
Gosh, I am getting hungry now.

There are so many awesome eats in both Seattle in Portland, I wouldn't even know where to start. I'd be hard-pressed to even name a favorite. Though a close-to-home place that I've been loving for weekend brunch (despite the wait) is Skillet Diner at 14th and Union
Mimi, the owners of the Tamarind Tree have opened a new restaurant downtown. It's called Long Provincial Vietnamese, and it's at 2nd and Stewart. I had a great lunch with an old colleague there one day this past week.

UV, thanks for the info. (we live closer to the original one, but sometimes we get hungry downtown!)
