HELP! Please chain problem???

Mid way on my commute this morning I was riding along and all of the sudden I could pedal but it wasnt driving my wheel round. I got off and checked, the chain had not fallen off.. What the heck? Anybody have suggestions? I cant take her to the doctor till next week

Sounds like your cassette body or if is a freewheel just failed. What rear wheel do you have?
