I need some suggestions ideas on trying to find a saddle that will be comfortable for my mountain bike. I think I've found a good one for my road bike, but need to find one for my mountain bike. That among other things is why I do not like riding it. The size it good, but I have two/three issues with it the first one being the saddle. The other two are the not feeling stretched out enough (hence my preference for my road bike, but I can't ride the road bike at the beach) and just more comfortable with road bike handle bars vs the straight bars on a mountain bike. Also if anyone knows of any companies that will rent saddles that would be great as well.

A lot of LBS will have test saddles. You'd have to call around and see if yours do this. I rode a couple of Fizik saddles but wasn't impressed.

My son likes his WTB saddle and I've thought about getting one for mine. It's nice as I've ridden his bike a couple of times.

I had to slide my saddle back some to get the fit right.

I also have comfort style grips for my mountain bike that I haven't put on yet.

there's always the Brooks saddles. Wallbike has a 6 month warranty program..

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I have 1 local bike shop and they don't loan out saddles. The next closest LBS is an hour away and those are mainly beach rental bike shops. Then the next closest that I'll actually do business with are 2 hours or farther away in Raleigh.

For years I had the same saddle on my road bike and my mountain bike, and was happy with it on both bikes.

What saddle is on the road bike?

While I am very much a new mtb'er, I've the same saddle on all of my bikes including the mountain bike. So far so good...
