View Full Version : Saddles that tilt the pelvis forward?

I'm currently riding a Specialized Romin saddle. As I've mentioned in other threads, it's not working for me (nose too wide, too pear shaped). But what I do love is that the saddle is ramped in the back, which tilts my pelvis forward and takes away the hip pain I was feeling during climbs.
What I'm wondering is, what other saddles do you know of that tilt the pelvis forward into this position? I would like to find something similar that's more of a T-shape. Here's the Romin:

The line of Selle SMP saddles appear to have a slight tilt in the rear, that you're looking for. I have no idea how they compare to the Romin, but it might be a good starting point. Hope you find something that works for you!

I tired the Fizi:k Aliante, which has a great pelvic tilt, but no cutout. So far, the shape and design is great, but it feels like there's more pressure on my soft tissue than on my sit bones. So frustrating! Any tips as to where to go from here?

What width do you need?
Cobb saddles are designed to be comfortable for riding with an anterior pelvic tilt. However they are on the narrow side.
BTW I think they assume the rider is in the position already, because it engages the glutes more, not that the saddle moves you in that position. I ride that way all the time regardless of the saddle I use. Keep your back straight and hinge from the hips and your pelvis will tilt that way.
The problem I have is that this position shifts pressure from the ischial tuberosities to the rami, so I need more padding to prevent pain there. The Affinity R saddle is working for me in that respect (RL model was too firm, as was the Aspide Glamour), though I would be happier if the nose of the Affinity R was less padded.

Thanks. In Specialized's terms, I was between a 143 and 155. So I guess I'm a little on the wider side.
