I don't typically keep up with soccer beyond the World Cup, but the women's national team made it to the World Cup finals and I wanted to watch adn yell for them. Plus it gives me something to do in between Tour stages. GO USA!!!

Just for this I would like to have a tv.
A few weeks ago, I watched (somewhere else) a tv documentary on the history of the Women's Cup.
I had no idea about how the crowds grew, the different women's teams that were in the finals, etc. It was a great documentary.
Which countries are in the lead now?

I was going to ride to a fave coffee shop and watch the game, life and errands interfered, now I'm home and don't even know what channel it's on. I'm watching a live chat on Yahoo sports which is kind of an interesting way to experience the game while trying to find it on TV. Does ESPN have it? Japan is trying to pull off a miracle come back, US holding onto a 1 point lead in OT.
OMG it's tied in OT!!

That was a really exciting game!
I had a feeling the entire time, as Brandy was saying, that Japan had something left in them. They pulled it out.
Both teams seemed to play clean and with good sportsmanship. I'm looking forward to watching a rematch in the Olympics perhaps???

I agree, the teams both were class acts. Quite wonderful representatives for their sport, for their countries, and for women in general. Great role models.
And it was a really great game. Japan definitely earned that win.
