Okay... finally got my new tires today and put them on. Did not anticipate the difficulty level associated with putting on your own tires and I've already killed two tubes in the rear wheel trying to do it (it's currently flat, but I gave up for the night). But, here it is, for those of us who like pink bikes, finally finished!!

The specs are:

Cannondale Synapse (Full carbon) - 2008 53cm Women's frame
Shimano Ultegra
Shimano 105 pedals (the last thing left over from my old bike)
Mavic Ksyrium Elite Wheels
Selle Italia Diva Gel Saddle (that I got from TE! SO AWESOME.)
Vredestein Fortezza Duo Comp Tires
Zipp Carbon bars

Love, love, LOVE this bike.

Who else loves their bike and wants to share a photo (doesn't have to be pink)?! :D :D :D

Velocivixen - Mostly I ride the same route over and over again - about 30 miles on crappy highway feeder roads with chip seal asphalt - but as fast as I can. It's my way to destress and find zen.

Muirenn - I love it. So flashy!

Feral1 - nice bike!!

More pics everyone!!

I love how you matched the shades of pinky, very classy!

I have an '09 full carbon Synapse and I still LOVE it! I just put some carbon tubulars on her and she practically runs uphill:D

I did used to have a pink mountain bike, I loved this one! Unfortunately she was lost in a car wreck. :( She was named Holly Golightly

And here is my roadie and I after climbing a mountain pass in New Mexico. Her name is Miranda.

Bluebug!! Your white and teal bike is so cool! It looks like one of those Bianchis from this year. Is it a custom job?

OK, here's another Synapse (53cm, 2011, carbon, charcoal and white, Shimano Ultegra groupset, stock DT Swiss R-1700 wheels, stock Schwalbe Durango tires, stock FSA wing compact handlebar, Look Keo 2 Max pedals, Selle Italia Diva saddle):

During a ride I saw a Synapse in coral and orange that made me skip several heartbeats. I found a picture online -- wish I had that color! http://cycleandstyle.com/wp-content/gallery/new-bike-quiz/whit-orange-cannondale.jpg

:DHow did you know I called her my "Stealth Storck" teehee:D
Thanks Katz, it's the identical bike. Even the same size. Mine is 3 years old though, and her's is brand new.

My bike is in serious need of a bath, again;)

And feral has a georgous stealth bike! Sweet.

The black and pink is awesome! Bike envy.....:)

Mine is a boring gunmetal gray and white but I love it anyway for all it's other glory. Someday when I upgrade, I hope to get a more flashy look.

I remember pictures of the 1 from the catalogue that year, right down to the colored spokes.

Nice...

Now we just need one in Pearl White, and we'll have all the carbon colors for 2008.

Flashy year:) (That is silver, and not white, correct? I remembered the 1 as white?).

And you are seriously buff Rita!

Yes, Muirenn, it's silver and black with white/blue accents, full Dura Ace, 51cm, Mavic SE wheelset. The frame cracked at 10,000 miles and Cannondale replaced it with the same frame they happened to still have. I was delighted because I love, love, love this bike. And thanks! I don't feel so buff now after 2 weeks off the bike due to a wreck. I was 50 years old in January, but in better shape now than I have ever been.

Thank you! It was actually the Synapse Hi Mod Carbon SRAM red edition. Someone who worked at my bike shop bought and then decided she wanted the Super Six instead. I bought it, removed her dura ace and replaced it with SRAM and also changed the bar tape. I love it thought. I've done a century and thousands of miles on rough and dirt roads and it's such a smooth ride.

They are all beautiful, but Marie Laveau is just bewitchingly awesome :) ...couldn't resist

I think I want to go more subdued next time. Maybe British Racing Green? Some shade of blue?

We'll see.

Blue, certainly blue. Or purple. Not that I am biased or anything ;)

I love purple, but I go through phases of 'favorite color,' and for a steel bike, I ought to pick a color I'll be happy with after 20 years.

At the moment, my favorite colors are orange, purple, red, certain yellows, but they weren't always, and I may get tired of them eventually:)

Are we the same person? Because I do this as well (and we seem to think lots of the same things are awesome). Right now I've been in my pink phase for a year or so and these phases usually last a while. I remember all through middle school everything I wore was gray. And then everything was blue. And now... pink of course!

My road bike is my favorite color-turquoise. The OP's Synapse is a hot bike for sure. If I had the cash for an upgrade, that would top my list of BILFs.

I'm considering having my vintage Schwinn Cimarron repainted from red to green...just so I can add some tan/honey Brooks accessories to it. Would that be terrible to repaint a vintage bike when the original finish is still in good shape? I like the red fine, but green would be more "me".

I love all the pics of everyone's bikes! I'm glad I'm not the only one to name mine either! (My girl's named Caitlin). I don't have a current pic of her she just got new tape and pedals but I will get one soon!

I don't see why not. Rivendell makes those custom steel frame bikes for folks and they take old frames and repaint them with their own stuff. That's the beauty of steel, I think!

Very Nice ! I LOVE a pink bike ! She does look fast ! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy :)

I just got a 2007 Trek Madone 5.5 full Carbon / Dura Ace / King Headset with a custom "blue lightning bolt" paint job. She came a with a few pink accents so I've added pink striped tires & bar tape to play up the pinkness. She came with a 12/25, but since I'm coming off a Triple I decided to switch it to a 12/27 for getting up the hills here in northern Connecticut- any way she should be back together, tuned up and ready to roll tomorrow.
I'll post pix this weekend.

She's so pretty! <3 I love seeing what other people are doing with their bikes. Eventually, I want to find an older road bike or cruiser and redo it for leisure riding. Right now, my bike is rightfully a beast, being a commuter machine lol. Makes him a bit of a fatass for long leisure rides, though.

And you're definitely not the only one to name your bike. Mine's name is cookie monster lol. I get such weird looks when people walk by me adjusting something, or when he got his first flat. I was like "damnit cookies, momma's tired!"

I love how you matched the tape to the tube color!

Yes, it's a stock color from 2008. If you search for it on Google, you'll find it.

Very pretty bike. The pink and black really works.

I think the black and orange one's also particularly lovely.

I have Cannondale bike envy now.
