Have a safe and Happy 4th of July everyone. I have the next 4 days off, but DGF has to work. I plan to ride each day, we'll probably grill something, run some errands. A boring, but relaxing weekend. Definitely, no travel plans. What are your plans?

Have a happy safe 4th to you too!

Plans are small town "doings" around here. There are a ton of activities Saturday, Sunday and Monday around the lake with water skiing shows, BBQ's, Freedom Festival, "We the People" at the library where they do readings from the federalist papers and dress in period costume, 5&10K runs and splash and dash which is a sprint-swim-sprint, bands, full blown big parade with floats and marching bands, lit up boat parade at night around the lake and more stuff I can't think of right now. Oh yeah, fireworks too. It's a lot of fun around here and of course there will be family stuff and get togethers with relatives.

Pretty old fashioned stuff around here and I love it. I can't imagine I'll be driving my car much at all this weekend. I have some volunteer duties at some of these events and everything's so close I'll just bike around town. Except for the parade where I'll be using a golf cart, I'm one of the judges for the floats so I'll have a cart to use to go view the floats in the staging area, then zip over to the parade viewing stand to hand in the sheet with the winners.

Not much of a plan for the 4th here. Am taking tomorrow off, will walk past my bike on the trainer that's been in the corner mocking me.

May take myself out to breakfast tomorrow.

too late!! I'm so exhausted from rehab'ing my house that
"Stupid is stupid does!" I managed to screw into my hand a drywall screw with powered screwdriver. only quarter of an inch. Still OUIEEEE!!! A first for me.

My last tetanus shot was when I had shattered my left collar bone from a bike crash. That was over 10 years ago according to my partner. I can't keep track  Should I be worried?

OH! Looks like I'm heading home to Oregon on Sunday. Yipee!!!! Almost finished renovating my house in LA. MY KIDS!!! all 10 cats I miss them so much.

OUCH!

Ride, definitely. (It's my bike's "birthday" tomorrow, so I feel obligated.) I don't know how much riding I'm going to do, other than it will be very early in the morning because it will be hot and sticky.

Ride w/friends tomorrow (just around here) then to their house for BBQ. Not sure about Sunday. I wanted to go to the beach, but it's supposed to rain in the late PM, which is when we usually head to Falmouth, sit on the beach until sunset or so, and then change, go into town, eat and possibly watch fireworks. But, we'll play it by ear.
Monday will be a long ride. I am swamped with start up work for my cases. I am working Tuesday and Wednesday and then we are heading to the Berkshires for 4 days of riding. I am not ready for the big hills, but here they come!

Hey Smilingcat,
Did you get that tetanus shot yet? Power screwdriver point goes on the screw, not the hand :rolleyes::cool:

Hope you get to feeling better soon. ;)
