I've had bad luck with Canari in the past.

But hope springs eternal, and I really wanted a breathable SPF jersey in screaming yellow: http://www.teamestrogen.com/prodCA_2878P.html

The fabric is soft, light, and cool. Breezes whoosh right through it. Screaming yellow is seriously bright.

The body has a great relaxed cut. Very flattering and comfortable. Generously long drop-tail, no elastic at the hem.

The pocket in the back doesn't have a zip, but is deep enough that nothing seems to want to fly out.

The sleeves are about 4 inches too short.

I'm not kidding. A good FOUR INCHES TOO SHORT. And I bought a XXL. (cuz I'm fat and tall) Astounding!

Everything about this jersey is fabulous, except the ridiculous Tyrannosaurus rex sleeves.

Was it worth $55? Not to me. When I want SPF, I want more than just half my forearm covered when my hands are on the bars.

Am I gonna keep it? Yeah. It's bright and it fits over my huge hips. My PI screaming yellow vest doesn't fit me at all right now, and I need something bright and visible.

Bottom line: don't buy this if you are tall, or if you find Shebeest or Ibex sleeves to be perfect. (if you find Shebeest sleeves to be too long for you, the Canari might be just what you are looking for with its petite sleeves.)

I've been eyeballing this jersey. I have been getting these horrible brown "age spots" (I guess that's what they are) and prefer to have long sleeves to keep the sun off my arms- sunscreen is never enough.

How hot is it where you ride? We are currently in the low 100's with high humidity, so I wonder if this would be cool enough? I bought the coolskins bolero and although it does a good job of keeping the sun off, it's tight and not very cool (more like stifling) in the heat.

How hot is it where you ride?

I think we've been over 70 degrees maybe twice this year.

The hottest thing when I ride is me... :p

hmmmm... it might be worth a try. Will have to think on it.

And really- do you live in the Arctic? I think we had a couple days around 70- seems we went from freezing winter to burning hot summer. No happy medium.

Thanks!
and the "Tyrannosaurus Rex sleeves" comment made me laugh! I have T-Rex arms anyway- so the length might just be perfect! My DH says to me all the time when I'm running on the treadmill "why are you running with T-Rex arms??" (apparently I run arms up with my hands like claws).

I have this jersey. The arms are long enough for me in a medium, I wish the zipper was longer. I've worn it in the high 70s, low 80s mountain biking and it was fine. I'd like to be able to vent the front more.

I'm a lot more comfortable in my regular jerseys, with long zippers, and arm coolers though. I haven't been out in our super heat yet - just the mid 80s.

I think I'll get a short sleeved one. I need a new jersey.

The color is fading fast on my (printed, not yarn dyed) Voler yellow jerseys. :(
