:D

Rocks hit my legs. I'm with you on the bugs though - but not just the small ones!

When I ride on the MUP by the creek near my house in the evenings I hear & feel flying insects hot my face, my glasses (now that I have cycling glasses), and of course in my mouth or stuck to my lips due to lip gloss/balm. I always appreciate the extra protein.

Yup and so fun since you are in the aerobic stage you usually have your mouth open. I know when approaching creek crossings/bridges to definitely close my mouth! :D

I must have some strange luck or something. They've bounced off my lip, but never hit me in the teeth or anything. The eye, on the other hand...and the little pests always find a way around my glasses!

Don't want to think of how many bugs I've swallowed. Fresh protein anyone?

Have been smacked in the throat. Dragonflies hurt too.

I got one down my cleavage once  I think that was worse than in the mouth!

That happened to me the other day!! Unpleasant... but comical after the fact.

I often wind up with gnats inside my shirt when I wear a tank top with a shelf bra. And they itch like crazy. I've been known to reach in to get them out while stopped at a light at a very busy intersection, knowing full well that drivers were probably watching me and really not caring at all what they were thinking.

They get stuck to my face alot, too.

Yup. If my jersey is unzipped or I have on a tank top on a ride, I think sometimes my bra is a collection scoop for bugs.

Oh Sarah!! How terrible to be stung in the mouth. I hope this isn't recent.

Wish you a speedy recovery if the bee sting is recent.

A bee flew into my helmet through the vent. Luckily, I have hair :p and normally wear a skull cap. Still, made an emergency stop popped off my helmet and ripped off my skull cap. I don't want a bee sting on my head or anywhere on me!

Eating bugs is not my favorite things.

Been there, done that. The next worst is when they get in your helmet, and sting you in your scalp. You get the whole load of venom!

Thanks for the well wishes. It happened at the end of last year. First day wasn't so bad but when I woke up the next morning the swelling was so much worse I actually went to the doctor and they gave me steroids. It took over a week to go away. He flew in my mouth, I spat him out, but the stinger had lodged in my cheek and I had to pull it out.

I try to be better about keeping my mouth closed on descents.
