Yesterday I was at Performance checking out some LG jerseys and debating buying them online from LG or buying them from Performance. For some reason, I decided against buying them at Performance that day. Today, I drove by the Performance on the way to Starbucks and there were signs everywhere... "UP TO 70% OFF" "EVERYTHING FOR SALE!!"
Basically got all my LG gear (including three jerseys and another pair of the 3K shorts) and about ten pairs of socks and a new pair of gloves all for 25% off!! My haul shown here (http://mariacycle.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/1.jpg).
The cashier (upon hearing that I decided against buying my things yesterday) said "some call it luck... I call it fate." Love it when that happens!

Great haul! I spotted the sale, too, at my local Performance shop tonight and took advantage of a good price on a Terry jersey I'd been eyeing, plus a few small items. I went into the store so I could get free shipping on the jersey, and naturally walked out with more goodies than the shipping would have cost me, LOL! Ah well, all useful stuff! :-)))))

((Drooling)). Nice items. Is that color more coral or more red- it's hard to tell. Either way you got a great deal. There's a Performance about 2 miles from me....maybe it warrants a visit! ;)
Enjoy your new goodies.
I can't guarantee they still do it (and it may have only been bikes?), but Performance used to have a policy that if something went on sale within a certain time (maybe 30 days?) that you could bring your receipt in and get refunded to the sale price. I did it with a bike once. They refunded a couple of hundred bucks to me when the bike that I had just purchased a few weeks earlier was put on sale. They will also honor their catalog prices in the store - and often things are better price or on sale in there, so it always pays to check.

They're actually pretty good about stuff like that. When I bought my helmet, the price in-store was $90, but it was listed for $65 online. I brought it up at the counter and the guy checked it, said "that's weird", and gave me the online price. :)

They also price match. In store wanted something like $69 for a Cateye Strada Wireless computer and I found it online at a totally different store for $42.88, so I printed that page and took it to Performance. I bought my Cateye that day for the lower price. They did say that the online place couldn't be some place like a super discount place (I don't recall they exact terminology he used). Anyway I liked that policy.

I heard an ad for Performance (the sale) on my favorite radio station. This is a first.
I guess they realize this station may have a cycling demographic.

Thanks for the tip on the sale! I picked up some winter stuff (jerseys and a pair of pants) on the clearance rack, front and tail lights, a pair of shorts and a sleeveless jersey for waaay less than could have imagined! Yay for new stuff without spending too much!!!

Red, the pictures turned out pretty bad... I think because I was balancing on my couch :)

We just went and I got new tires for my hybrid, a bunch of tubes for all of the bikes, plus a trunk bike rack for DH's car all for only $15 more then what the bike rack alone was going to cost us at msrp. Gotta love a good sale!
