So, on the same saturday in July, I'm signed up to do the cycling portion of a relay triathon (15miles) followed that night by a time trial on a speedway...I think it is 10 miles. Have to travel about 2 1/2 hours for the night event.

Is this a little much?

As long as you fuel appropriately in between, it's fine. I do a stage race in the fall that has a 2 mile uphill (thing 15%) time trial in the morning, and an hour long crit in the afternoon, followed by an hour long cross race the next day. I am able to compete in all three just fine by ensuring proper warm up/cool down and nutrition.

Good Luck!

I race a crit series where I race the C race and then turn around and race the women's field - the first race is a great "leg opener" for the second one. Why not?? You have nothing to lose and will find out if it is workable for you!

Great (full) day on Saturday.
Got up, rode to the start of a relay triathlon...competed, placed 2nd in the all female category (my time was 44:21 for 15miles).
Went to my nephew's wedding, then drove to Charlotte (2 hours away)
Did a 10mile TT at the Charlotte Motor Speedway (first time ever for me).
Fared okay, I think, unofficial time was 28:28.

It was a fun, productive day!
