The title pretty much says it all. Yesterday I was unloading my bike and had my most favorite white linen skirt on. Why?? Because I wasn't thinking. I just brushed the chain on the skirt ever so slightly. It isn't terrible but I'd love to know if there is a good way to get the grease out.
Thanks!
PS - next time I'll change first, then unload the bike.

I am a huge fan of Googone for grease just make sure it's safe for linen, I did the same thing with my favorite white jersey chain ring right over my stomach it did come out though. Good luck
I just got bike chain grease on my jersey also. I treated it with Shout, then added oxi-clean to the wash. Came right out.

I've had good results with Resolve Max for all sorts of impossible stains.

I find that rubbing alcohol works great for removing bike grease. I've used it on car seats (dab on, then rub with a clean rag) after accidentally brushing them with my chain ring, and the seats look as good as new.

I have used shampoo or dishwashing detergent on grease marks and both have worked on cotton.

Linen is pretty tough stuff, so you should be able to give it all you've got.
But if you can't get back to the white, there's always dye.

The blue Dawn dishwashing detergent has removed more grease from clothing, bike bags, etc, it works like magic!

I got chain grease on a yellow bike jacket, and Simple Green got it out, so now I'm a fan.

Goop or Gojo hand cleaner is another thing to try. It's white (so no dyes that could potentially discolor the skirt) and pretty gentle. My mom has used it to remove all manner of greasy stuff.
