Yesterday I cycled over to another location for a meeting which lasted nearly 3 hrs. then went back to my location to take down notes...etc. Within 1 hr., I was dizzy, sleepy and exhausted.

I left just abit earlier than normal and rode slowly home on bike path.Thank goodness for quiet bike paths when one is sick.

Slept the whole evening. I could only muster strength and gumption to have....a bowl of cornflakes and blueberries for supper. Too naseous to eat anything else.

****I would like to think that regular cycling in all types of weather, toughens a person. ie. One would recover faster from illnesses in general.

Obviously I'm wrong. I have never experienced this before.

So I'm eating a real full meal for lst time after last 30 hrs.

Ick. You're tougher than me, that's for sure--I'd have called someone for a ride home!
And there's nothing wrong with eating whatever you find in your kitchen if you're feeling bad! I'm glad you're feeling good enough to eat a proper meal, at any rate. Feel better!

My experience has been that while I generally recover more quickly from "serious" things than people who are not active, I need just as long as anyone else to recover from things that are more mundane. Especially, since I tend to try and ride before I am really well enough. And, I hate to say it, but getting older plays a part. Or, the heat.

So glad I didn't go to work. It rained.

Also there's a large work function that involves a complimentary buffet like luncheon. Normally I enjoy this stuff, but I can't really think much about food the next day or so.

I just can't believe how weakened this 24 hr. bug has bitten me. Or whateve it was.
