leaving at the crack of dawn tomorrow to get to Utah for the Little Red Riding Hood ride with sister. So looking forward to getting out from under caring for the FIL and animals, the heat (todays high was a record breaker 100F with a humidity of feels like 110) ,the never ending drought (last rain in January), and a welcome break and variety in the training. Plus an opportunity to hang with one of the twins that I babysat for every day after school and most weekends while my father worked and my mother went back to school full time, ain't half bad either.
Will still have to face a monthly evaluation (weigh in, measurements) etc. when I get back on Tuesday but at least it will give me something to aim at in the post surgery recovery.
Any others going to do the LRRH? Post ride I will be wearing a tomato orange/red t shirt with bike gears and a wheel on the front and "geared, tyred and cranky" in large letters on the back- The latter is my new biking motto-
Say hey if you see me.
PS I just got my summer buzz cut so I look sheared.
