Hello to all of my fellow female cyclists!!!
I just wanted to share that I'm leaving June 20th to ride my bike from Seattle, WA to Washington, D.C. for the American Lung Association's Big Ride (http://action.lungusa.org/goto/KateMontana) then I will be heading out to Virginia with my boyfriend, Ryan, and we will be taking the TransAmerica (http://adventurecycling.org/routes/transamerica.cfm) trail home!
It's bound to be the most challenging adventure I've ever faced and I'd absolutely love it if you followed my blog and posted encouraging comments along the way:

sounds exciting- go you, and save a few bucks now and then for an overnight in a motel with hot showers and soft beds. Good luck!

good luck!! I'll check out your blog (put it in my blog reader)
Wow, that sounds AMAZING. Have a wonderful time on the good days, and I'm wishing you lots of patience, light thoughts and a zen-like mind for those days that don't feel like such a great adventure. They'll be the ones to tell about later, I bet :p

Thanks SO MUCH for all the well wishes, good advice and offers of a place to sleep! It means a lot and I'm getting very nervous and excited as I get closer to my departure date. So much to do to get ready, not to mention TRAINING!
