Water in bike frame

Just wondering if anyone has had water in their bike frame? We did a very, very wet ride on Sunday, I came home cleaned up my bike and hung it up in the garage. When I went to get it down for a ride on Wednesday, I heard a swishing sound and thought I had left water in one of my water bottles. Upon further investigation, I realized it was coming from my bike frame.

I have ridden in really wet conditions before (not on this particular bike), and never had water get into my frame. I am trying to figure out how the water got in there. DH took seat post off and poured about a 1/4 cup of water out. We left if upside down overnight and more water dripped out.

Anyone else have this problem and if so, do you know what caused it?

There are a couple different entry points, including the seat post and seat stay bridges, which often have holes in them. Is it a steel frame and has it been treated with Frame Saver? Just keep letting it hang upside down. Can you bring it inside for a bit to keep it in a less humid place?

I've heard of this, but I don't remember where they said it gets in. While you are at it, check for water in your wheel rims, too.

It is a Carbon Fiber Frame and it is kept in our garage, hanging upside down. DH rode with me on Sunday and he didn't have any water problem. I am guessing it may have came in from seat post, but it seemed like a lot of water for a 42 mile ride in the rain.

Over the years I've tried to keep water out of various frames with 100% failure rate.

Now I just drill a 1/4" hole in the frame's BB shell before installing the bottom bracket and cranks. I figure since I can't stop it from getting in, the best I can do is let it out.

My bike has an exit point for water in the frame on the bottom. The LBS told me after a ride in the wet to leave the bike upright, never to hang it upside down, and the water will dribble out. This is Oregon so I've had quite a few wet rides and the LBS is correct, the water comes out of the exit hole on the bottom if I leave the bike upright.
