Now that my kids are getting a little bit older I have decided to try and fit bike riding back into my life. It has been years since I did any riding on a regular basis but I am determined to make the time.

Last week for Mother's Day my hubby bought me a new Trek Utopia from the Gary Fisher collection. I have a decent late 90's road bike but I wanted something that I could take on some light trails and just have fun with around the back country roads where I live.

I don't think I will win any speed contests on this bike and it weighs close to the same as my husband's old full suspension mountain bike but it sure is fun to ride!

I wasn't sure about the black, white and orange color scheme, but it's growing on me and I order some reflective orange flower bike stickers from amazon to see if I could girlie it up a bit. My husband just rolled his eyes :p

Congrats on the new bike. This seems to be the season of DH's buying bikes as gifts. Welcome to TE.

They are on their way. I will take pictures of her once I have her all decked out. I am still debatin saddles and grips too. I bought another butterfly saddle, that is what I have on my road bike but the new one seems different then my old one for some reason. I have 2 older WTB men's saddles hanging around my basement so I might take the butterfly back and try them out before I buy another women's specific seat.

I would also like to get some ergon grips but they are pricey so that might wait for a while but I will definitely take pictures after I get the stickers on!
