Just coming back after a recurrence (May 1996 and Sep 2009).
Had A/C and 6 Taxol then rads (25 + 5 focussed on scar).
Finished in August 2010, iirrc
I have shortness /catching of breath and cough after effect of the adriamycin, despite getting cardio-protec immediately before the Red Devil.
Anyone have experience around this?
My oncologist waved his hand dismissively "Chronic minor lung damage" mutter, mutter. I danced at a friend's bar-mtzvah a few months ago and had a total coughing fit, camehome to hart pain but decided to sleep it off and that worked (ie still here,).
Was in the LBS today and the guy said take advice from a cardiologist (there is one who rides out of the LBS and even has had personal onco. experience apparently)...but just wondered if anyone here anything to say...

Margo! :D Also (((((margo))))) No experience or knowledge to impart but just so happy to hear from you. :D Personally I think it was the dancing at the bar-mtzvah ;)

Margo!!!!!
I am sorry this happened to you. I agree, go see a cardiologist *who knows about the needs of active people and cancer.*
Funny, your name came up in a thread a couple of weeks ago. Your weekly Shabbat greetings really helped when I was going through my mysterious illness symptoms a few years ago.

After the red devil....I had 6 doses every two weeks....I had some heart damage, it was evaluated by a cardiologist (because I was having shortness of breath and it felt like an asthma attack...but all the time). After a year or so on beta and alpha blockers I am happy to report things are just fine....

I have been ok since 2007 now....I would have it evaluated.

I have nothing of substance to add except to note that like everything else in medical charts shortness of breath gets abbreviated...

I hope you can get rid of that SOB!
