I sprang for a new Pivot Mach 4 today. I'm sooooo excited. I test rode one over the weekend & was smitten. There was no looking back.

My bike is back ordered for a couple of weeks. Oh well, the tough-girl pink & black paint job will be worth the wait. I keep telling myself that I'll be riding the bike for years once it gets here but I get to experience the excitement of anticipation for only the next 2 weeks. Might as well enjoy the "looking forward to it" part while I can.

Oh my god you must be tiny. I'd put it on a pedestal and set it on display...a little miniature mountain bike... :D

Just cuz it's little doesn't mean it isn't awesome! I'm trying to be patient for one more month til I get my legs in good enough shape to demo bikes.

Actually, I'd have to lose 20# to be considered tiny. I'm really more of a fire plug. That's what led me to the Pivot. 20.8" TT length & 25.5" standover height. I found the tiny Pivot way easier to control than the smallest bikes from any of the other companies. That and the fact that I can climb with the DW link without having to dampen the suspension.

No pedestal for my miniature bike...I can't wait to get it dirty! :D

Pivot is doing more demos around the state this summer. I wonder if anyone else is going to get lots of manufactures together on one day again like Sports Garage did. That was a great way to demo bikes. I'll bet your old mountain bike group would know.

Sweet! Love the color choice! I have a kayak that is hot pink and purple! I got to pick the color's. My mountain bike I had to take what I got. Black and yellow, not my choice but a great deal could not pass it up.
The nice thing about my boat is guys will never want to borrow it!

Thanks everyone. I am very fortunate to have such a nice bike. Hubby was a driving force in this decision. Great guy!

I don't think many men would have a big problem riding my tough-girl pink & black color scheme but their knees would be in their chins. That should keep my bike safe from them. :)

Titus made my "short list". Too bad they aren't manufacturing again yet. And nice, used, XXS ones are few & far between.

I would have loved to have tried the 429 but I'm just too short. I like to know that I can come off the saddle fast & hard without hitting anything on the top tube. Fortunately the M4 is still a HUGE improvement over my too big hardtail in rolling over large obstacles. Our next purchase may be a 29'er for my husband.

My Epic 29er had my wrench laughing because the frame is so tiny with the monster wheels. I have almost no steering tube area. It is kind of like a clown car on wheels although it looks like wacky to me that my 700c road bike with a 47cm frame. But I have a 29" inseam, all 5'2" of me is apparently in my legs.

That frame looks wicked (in a good way), can't wait to see her glamour shots!! Everyone I know with a Pivot loves them. If you haven't been riding full squish you will love the change.

"Wicked" & "full squish"...I love it! She's my wicked, tough-girl pink & black, full squish, fun on wheels! And no, I had never ridden an FS before Saturday. I'm stoked!

I'm 5' 1" with a 28.5" inseam. I'd be 5' 4" and riding an FS 29er if my upper body was in proportion to my legs. :p BTW, if 29er's had originally been developed for shorties, people would think the bigger frames look weird. :)
