DH and I are on Day Three of our vacation at Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Yesterday, we rented road bikes and spent most of the day going up and down Zion's scenic drive. Zion restricts traffic in the park from April to October, so we had the road to ourselves minus the Park shuttle. It was great, except that my butt did not like the saddle on my rental. The bikes themselves were quite nice though as rentals go. Fred at Zion Cycles fixed us up very well.

Today, we did an out and back on the West Rim Trail. We hiked approximately 13 miles in 7 hours. That includes a fair amount of elevation gain, too. I'm beyond tired at the moment, but it was well worth the effort (although my feet may not agree). Zion is truly spectacular. It's been lovely here minus one evening of rain. Pleasant temps, and the Park isn't very crowded. We have one more full day here before moving onto Bryce. I hope to post some pictures when we return. DH shot over 700 just today!

Awesome - thanks for checking in! Thankfully you are missing all of the "lovely" spring weather here :) So very glad you and Brian got to do this!

I had a good time at Zion and Bryce, many moons ago...

Remember hiking up a trail to a "hanging" creek in Zion. Seems the trail was carved out of the bluff side.

Have fun! And don't get lost in Bryce.

Zion is one of my favourite places in the States.
I look forward to seeing some snaps.:)

Indy, sounds GREAT! (other than the saddle issues).

Have safe travels home...you're not missing many riding opportunities here!

Indy, that sounds like such a wonderful trip. Zion and Bryce is one place DH and I have always talked about going to. Enjoy it because you wouldn't be riding if you were at home!
