I have a question and I know it's probably nuts, but my husband is an avid mountain biker and we know quite a few people who ride around on 69'ers, 26" wheels in the back and 29" (it rolls over stuff better and local racers praise 'em) in the front and they love the combination. I was wondering if that could translate to a road bike, 650 in the back and 700 in the front. My husband just suggested the idea because he thinks it could help a little with my comfort on a rode bike.
My husband mentioned that 1998 Tour De France, Marco Pantani did the opposite rode with a 650c front and 700c rear for his time trials to make him more aerodynamic.
What do you all think?
