Yes, no, maybe? It's great weather outside today where we have a combo of sunshine, no rain, no horrific winds and it's warm enough to bike without a jacket. Yipee!

One more chore and I'm off on my bike.

Yes it has.... And well overdue. I celebrated by taking the Trek 520 on a grocery run. Awesome day.... Hope this lasts for us:)

I, too, took advantage of the weather and took a short ride on my Crosstrail this morning. If the winds don't get too high this afternoon, one of the road bikes will emerge from the basement for a spin.

We're still waiting for sun, here. Once that comes out we're planning on 20 or so miles with the rugrat on the tandem. :D

It's been so rainy we haven't ridden near as much as this time last year. We were up to at least 40 milers this time last year. Hopefully it will be clear for a while, although the NOAA site isn't encouraging. I am solar powered. I need more sunshine!

Yep...I had planned to have well over 1k miles on my bike by the end of April '11, but the weather has made this difficult. I'd also hoped to have some 40 milers logged...it's just been too miserable to do more than 25 at a go, most rides. The one day when it was in the 80s it was also windy as heck and DH bonked.

Finally spring, I hope. Here in mid-Michigan(Bay City), its a little chilly - we're about a mile from the Bay. I plan on getting on my bike this week. The way Michigan is, it should be summer next week?;););)

I think i had close to 700 miles last year at this time, maybe more. This year, 335. But, next weekend is supposed to be warm and sunny both days. That will be a first.

I don't remember winter hanging on so long last year...my mileage is only 50 miles higher this April over last April, but of course I was just learning how to ride outside of protected park roads last April... Still have 331.50 miles for the year and that isn't bad considering my injuries and weather kept me off the bike until basically late March.

They are forecasting storms and rain for 9 out of the next 10 days, but surely I will be able to get SOME riding in and my bikes won't collect too much dust :(

I'm jealous - mileage = 0.

That helps to put it in perspective, I hope you can ride soon!

We had a good day and good weekend. DS (10) logged his longest ride ever on the back of our tandem...between 42 and 43 miles (my Garmin computer seems to record short). His total for the past 2 days is 65 miles. I rolled-over 1000 miles on my bike (new in early Dec.). Too danged many of those miles were on the trainer, though. Hopefully I can really start piling on the miles, now.

Geez, I'm a slouch, I only have 50 miles logged outdoors this spring :( However on the bright side I had 0 miles logged last year at this time because I didn't get my bike till July 2010 :p

You know, if I weren't registered for a duathlon in a week I'm not sure I'd have much more than 50. Riding the trainer blows and this Spring has not been very conducive to riding outdoors for pleasure. I can count on one hand the rides that haven't been sorta miserable. It's often not so bad once I'm out there, but I'm tired of so much laundry after a single workout. It's worse than running laundry this time of the year, for sure.

Ohhh I'm glad to hear that the weather is changing for you! IT's time to be out and riding :p

Weather here has been very erractic... of the last 7 mornings , five of the seven have had either snow or hail covering the ground. Saturday it snowed all day, although late Sunday it actually got up to 60! And it looks like showers all week here... I know Mother Nature is simply lurking out there for us somewhere:rolleyes:

Good luck in your duathlon!

After all my complaining I did get in an 18 mile road ride on Saturday and a dirt road ride on Sunday.
