(for riding free that is)
I don't ride clipless. Tried it, don't like it. For a long time I've been riding in some sandal-shoe type thing. They were ok... cool, at least, but not great.
A few weeks ago my DH decided he was getting into barefoot running, so I tagged along to see the shoes he was trying on. I decided WTH, I'll try some too and I feel in love with the Nike Free 3.0. SO comfortable. Not a barefoot shoe IMO but it is minimalistic. I LOVE them.
But anyway the other day I decided to wear them on the bike. LOVE THEM on the bike!!!!!! Total breathability, but still total coverage (I could feel the wind in my toes).
But the best part is the soles. A side effect of the sole design that is made for total flexibility is that it grabs and STICKS to my pedals. Totally. Here is what the bottom of the shoe looks like:

And as a bonus, they are actually really, really nice for running. Just thought I'd share for those who also ride free :)
