by entering their article contest:
http://www.terrybicycles.com/RIFSymmetry1

Deadline for submissions: Apr. 30, 2011 :D Come on, we have some whipper-snapper writers here!

But it won't be me --contest is only for U.S. citizens.

I really don't need another bike. The winner should be someone the bike would make a difference in their life. Maybe she's here on this board:cool:.

They had a contest to win a Terry wardrobe. Clothes I could always use ;) Don't have room or need for another bike just now.

I thought about this briefly, but like Trek420, I've no desire or need for another bike. It really should go to someone who doesn't have a full stable & it would be great to see someone from TE win it :)

I do, however, enter their clothing contests - that would be awesome!

I wonder how many people enter their drawings? Ton assume.

I'm tainted... ok, Terry... thanks for the up-teen-th email to enter a contest... to really get your account information updated in your data base... can I just have something actually useful and tangible... like how about a free shipping coupon... now that would be a practical treat lol.

Yea, yea... ok, enough already:rolleyes:... lol... somebody win from TE... and please come back and show us a pic of your bike... cos I don't believe anybody every wins ...sorta like the tooth fairy lol.

Hormonal rant concluded.

Go TE'ers:D.

[QUOTE=Muirenn;568155]But I like the tooth fairy!

I just heard that the "Tooth Fairy" isn't PC anymore, it is the "Tooth Confirmed Bachelor".... :p:p:p:p

I get the Terry update emails anyway, so I figure it doesn't hurt to enter... if you don't play, you can't win, right??

But I hear it's important to read the rules when you enter a contest. And right down there in paragraph 74 under the paragraph about "Reasons you may be disqualified by the head grammar grinch" it goes on to say:

the following groups are not eligible to win. Employees, friends, family of Terry and Terry affiliate companies. TE forum members with 3 or more bikes already listed in their footer unless playing for someone else who needs this bike, really ;) ...." :p ;)

I wasn't happy with the direction Terry Precision was taking, and after Georgena sold the company to Vermont Teddy Bear... I felt it was time to end our relationship.

They removed me from their system (after being a loyal customer for 15 years) and I haven't been pestered by any of their new marketing.

Their bikes are made by Waterford/Gunnar now, so I encourage anyone who doesn't have a bike yet that they love with a wild passion to try the contest. Waterford/Gunnar are great bikes.

Okay, going to pick up the brain cells scattered all over the floor now.

Sorry for the confusion I often cause

The brain cells on the floor image is pretty good. Sounds hard to clean up.

Hmmm...
That is interesting. I did not know that. But for a lot things going on in the world I live under a rock I've been told lol:rolleyes:. But, besides the point...

Well, I also (first time ever) sent Terry a written note on a return recently. Previously the item had been my favorite. Only thing I'd wear. Then the price stayed the same, and the quality went down:(. I'd actually would have sucked it up and paid more for equal / better quality. Now, I will never be buying the item again as it stands.

@Tooth Fairy Peeps...yea, yea... I love the tooth fairy too... waking up to cold hard cash under your pillow outta no where to start the day... what's not to love?:D

Shipping.... YES.. omg, Terry shipping is so spendy compared to competition... I think our TE is reasonable... well, and just awesome, of course... but back to Terry now lol...

*note to self: must read fine print better bout 3 bike TE disqualification in Terry rules~ drats, Batman... and yes, let a fellow cyclists with less in the stable get a free bike... that is good karma fair.

I knew that Waterford/Gunnar makes the frames for Rivendell now, but didn't know they are also making Terry frames - well - they do make beautiful frames so that is pretty cool! I did not know, either, that Georgina had actually sold Terry Bikes. That is a shame, does that leave any female bike builders on the market in the US?

Trek - baaaaaaaad yet way funny Trek :D

Only the custom frames. Most are made in Japan and Taiwan. All their frames are lovely.

Ahhhh, thanks for the correction. For some reason when I think Rivendell, I think "custom", but of course they have stock sizes just as Waterford/Gunnar does!

BTW, MY Gunner comes home in less than 48 hours - I saw her today but she wasn't fully dressed yet

Oh you guys are making me feel guilty. I entered the contest. I have a pretty good essay. I doubt that I would win, but hey, I'd love a bike like that made to fit me. And honestly, I hope they award it to someone who can't afford a good bike... but it doesn't hurt to try.. :p
