I've noted, on one hill and one hill only, when I am climbing it I get numbness in/around my hip that has arthritis in it. It is not pain, or even twinging, just....numbness on the side of my leg just below the hip, and in the back of my leg next to the hip joint that extends just a little down the hamstring. I do not think it is the hammie. I know what THAT feels like

Everything is fine before and after this hill - and it is the longest hill that I can ride to without heading to southern Indiana. It is just a little less than a .5 mile climb but it is steep and far from straight.

I am assuming that this is related to just coming back to the bike and rebuilding my strength - especially since this is the only hill on which it happens. There is progress, the last time I tested myself on this hill my quads were on fire long before I reached the top and I HAD to rest. Last night there was no burning at all and no resting required :)

I am still doing my lateral and hip strengthening exercises... Am really focusing on developing better habits this year!
