Just wanting to know if any of your has tried the new Sugoi RSE shorts? They cost a bundle & I've seen reviews in other places, but I'd REALLY love to hear what some of you think. That's a lot of dough to spend on something that everyone might not even like. I'd just like to have one really great pair of shorts.

I have RS shorts. I love the fit but am extremely disappointed with the quality. I've returned one pair after a hole formed at the chamois seam after one wearing. I received another pair but it has the same problem after half a dozen wearings. I will not spend that kind of money on Sugois again. I'm going back to Pearl Izumi. I have multiple pairs of PIs that I have worn for years without incident. YMMV.

I have a pair of the men's bib version...by far my favorite shorts to wear....but alas, I have also had similar quality problems as tulip. The silicon grip stuff on the legs started pealing off after 2-3 wears and I also have holes forming from the chamois seaming.

my husbands sugoi shorts also developed loose and floppy chamois after just a couple of months of riding.

I third, or whatever, the sloppy perforated chamois. That was a pricey mistake. I even hand washed and line dried them.

I wonder if my dog got to them...

I have the Sugoi Evolution, and I love them. I haven't had any problems with quality, but I've only worn them about half a season.

I have a pair of Sugoi RS and I find them to be just okay. Things I don't like about them - the waistband digs into my waist too much which makes them uncomfortable. They have a drawstring, but I never use it because the waistband is uncomfortable enough without using the drawstring. After buying a newer version of the PI Symphony shorts with their wide, comfortable waistband...I will never again buy a pair of shorts that do not have either a wide or non-elastic waistband.

I have 2 pairs of the Evolution Short, 1 pair of the RS short, and a pair of tights. I don't wear anything else since I finally have no seat issues. I have the shorts for over a year and ride 4 to 5 days a week. No problems with quality or fit for me.

Thank you girls! I was just about to order a pair. I really think it's got to be the size of my saddle or something (143mm Jett). I've got a few great pairs of PI. I really love them, but I guess I was searching for comfort at any price. I have a feeling it's not the shorts at all, but I'm soooooo glad I asked the question. Thanks for the honest answers. I was just about to push the "order" button. Close call. I'll stick with my PI's like Tulip. :D
