I bought an exercise ball - 75 cm. Now I'm not sure if its too big. I thought you bought by weight, but this one says its 'best for heights 6'0+'. I'm 5'5". I got it at Target, came with a sheet of 12 exercises, its nothing special. I don't know if it matters thats its a little big?????

I've always thought that ball size was based on height, not weight. When you sit on a properly inflated ball, your knees should form a 90-degree angle. I'm 5'6" and my ball is 65cm fully inflated.

Can't you just under inflate it a bit?

I inflated it and it is a little big, but I think its going to be Ok, especially with my ankle. Now I'm going to check out the exercises. :) Any favorite exercises you can share?

What my PT told me is that size of the ball doesn't matter, unless you're doing knee stuff. Then you need to be careful about proper alignment....

Thanks Blueberry. I have PT tomorrow, I'll run it mine too. I don't have any knee issues, I mainly want it to tone my arms, abs, legs and butt - I guess everything. The one I used at PT was a large one and just rolled back and forth to work my ankle.

Sounds like you should be fine then - I'm 5'4" and I had this discussion last week with my PT. She says where joint alignment matters, I need a 65. Otherwise, for stuff where I'm on my belly lifting arms or whatever, I can use a 75 (which I like). Hope your PT can clarify!

ETA: If nothing else, it'll be a comfy chair!

Thanks Marni. Blueberry, my PT said it should be fine since I don't have any knee issues.
